Great people and benefits. Bringing in great people at all levels who have a passion and excitement that is contagious.

Cons

What made us special is not going to keep us special. Times have changed and we need to be more process oriented to allow time to truly innovate. People want "to do the right thing" often Often it's mistaken for "let's over analyze something that is good enough" or "this is how I would do it, so please adapt to my style"

General Mills was a great place to work for the most part. They had a great clean, quality manufacturing enviroment.

Pros

3 weeks of vacation, benefits and co workers were great. Very friendly culture and stable work.

Cons

Pay was low, raises were 40 to 50 cents. After Green Giant was sold. Company downsized started a position bump. People were getting fired and written up more often for silly things and there was an imminent layoff.

Pros

The company is culture is still very strong. General Mills has great benefits compared to a lot of other large companies. The company makes good financial decisions when it comes to acquisitions.

Cons

The plant closures over the last couple of years have damaged some of the networks that have been built over time between employees at other plants. A lot of functions feel very overworked. Seems like there are fewer jobs at the top levels.
