Pros

Pay and Benifits. There is a good opportunity for career advancement. Mangment listens to its employees. Great experience on off shifts for new Team leaders to learn responisbility. There is a lot of guidance on what to do.

Cons

Very few downsides. Dealing with support groups towards operations can be difficult. Not the best cross functional communication

Pros

General Mills has a well-deserved reputation as a good place to work. While base salaries in my field are a little lower than I could make elsewhere, the benefits (including 3wks of vacation to start and 4wks after five years) and flexibility to balance work and the rest of my life have kept me here. General Mills also attracts a talented work force, especially in marketing, consumer insights, and research and development.

Cons

The flip side of a talented work force is that you may not rise as quickly as you might elsewhere, especially in technical areas where headcount is being held flat and the mode seems to be 'retire two, promote one.' As an entry-level employee, you may find yourself spending a couple of years proving your chops before you get a chance at more responsibility.
