Pros

General Mills has a great work life balance, on site amenities, and benefits package. There are also plenty of great, smart people to work with.

Cons

Declining revenues, and pressure to deliver earnings are creating headwinds on the company. Brands have lost relevance for today's consumer, and Mills has been slow to react. There's plenty of red tape for any decision to be made, which impairs creativity and innovation.

Pros

Good medical benefits and matching 401

Cons

No pay raises once you top out. I have not received a raise in over 7 years. They have policy's in place for a number of different things, but they don't apply them the same to everyone. It is a very clicky there. The management that they hire have no experience in maintenance or controls, but like to think that they know more than you do.

Pros

Work life balance is decent for a large demanding corporation. Rotational programs to get you experience. Friendly people. Long time veterans here that add a lot to training and overall experience. Many onsite perks and amenities.

Cons

averse to change. Slow change. not enough diversity of thought. seeking to heavily standardize job roles and responsibilities. a lot of mistrust about things management is doing. Recent reorgs. Mature competitive industry. extremely detail oriented. too many laters of management. complicated and not very transparent promotion path. arbitrary 'developmental opportunity roles' expected to pacify your goals of leadership. Form opinions/judgments of others are difficult to overcome.
