Pros

Pay was average for the market. Refrigerator/microwave cleaning was excellent. Work/life balance was alright. They give you some flexibility.

Cons

Underdeveloped leadership teams at the railroad level and senior regional teams built on cronyism. Cover-ups of human factor incidents in an effort to support cronies running railroads. Lack of vision to develop same railroad growth with the focus primarily based on growth through acquisition. Isolated high performance individuals while thrusting "trusted" managers and teams into positions that they were ill-equipped to handle. Senior railroad level managers had no ability to understand or manage the financial situation on their railroad and could not relate the financials to specific activities on their railroad.

poor management, poor leadership, do as I say not as I do attitude, No knowledge of actual duties and how they are structured or how the operation of the railroad works.
