Pros
Even though they pay less than the industry standard, still pretty good for a guy off the street. Still not near enough to make up for the bad things. Treat their employees well at times, except the conductors and engineers are treated like crap. Of course that is industry wide it seems.
Cons
Same as most railroads - No work life balance. Can be way overboard on disciplinary measures. Try to nickel and dime employees out of money on their paycheck. Changed employees insurance company and replaced it with a SSQ company from Montreal resulting in severely reduced benefits for employees and then started charging the men for it. Also poor equipment maintenance resulting in employee injury and their HR dept makes up lies to try to blame the employee. Place is also a magnet for people with personality disorders. I could go on and on but I'm just glad I left. I actually had to tame this review down and delete some things.
