Pros

I have had an awesome team but it doesn't last long. Anyone who is for the benefit of their patients won't make it long in this company. There aren't really any pros. The company has went down hill. Glad to know it is not just my area.

Cons

Upper management brushes everything under the rug. No one ever takes responsibility for their actions or lack there of. Should be reported for medicare fraud. Disrespectful to therapist. You know, the ones out there making them the money. Therapist are either without work or spread thin and no in between. When your facility doesn't have work be prepared to cover another facility or vitality rather it is 5 minutes but probably 45-60 minutes away. And please do not express concerns for seeing patients for 15 minutes. It is always your fault for not having patients..."I would like you to write an Improvement plan on how you plan to increase your caseload and productivity to 80%."

Pros

Continuing education online courses. Nice, but similarly overworked coworkers.

Cons

Untrustworthy management. No appreciation for hard work. More and more constantly being asked of a smaller amount of staff. Benefits, holidays, time-off requests and coverage micromanaged and cut back. Non-competitive pay.

Pros

I learned a lot about Medicare guidelines as a Rehab Office Coordinator. The company has an online continuing education program. If a contract is lost they will try their best to find another location for you.

Cons

Unfortunately there is a significant disconnect between corporate and their contract sites. Prior to their takeover of Sundance the company wasn't so bad, after the acquisition forget it. HR is terrible, if you have an ethical issue with the way services are being delivered or with management don't assume that HR will "help resolve the conflict", they will always defend their Rehab managers no matter what may happen or what proof you can provide that something is going on. The company has just grown to be to big, they have a monopoly over the industry, and I'm not sure how they get away with it. Last year after they purchased Sundance they cut most therapists/ staff hours to 30-32/ week. I worked my butt off and never received a raise or an annual review for that matter though I had inquired with the Area Director several times. They also will make you travel to two or more locations in your "area", and no longer pay for travel expenses.
