Pros
• Strong salary and benefits package • Extra time off perks like Friday afternoons in August • Opportunities to work on big, meaningful projects (AI, global transformation, etc.) • Many talented and supportive colleagues who want to do great work
Cons
• Role clarity and recognition don’t always match the level of contribution • Career development and growth paths are unclear • My experience was impacted by being moved under a manager with a very old-school “command and control” style, with little focus on employee experience or true leadership. • While not true for every team, the fact that this management style was allowed to continue by senior leadership raises questions about the overall culture.
