Flexibility, coworkers, and benefits. Also, direct managers are very accessible and understanding.

Cons

Compensation is relatively stagnant and well below competitors. Upper management is slowly improving, but overall are not receptive to solutions offered by even experienced employees.

Not recommended. Most of the FP&A team is in Indianapolis. CFO was horrible and recently got fired.

Tony Bates is awesome and the future looks good for the company.

Cons

I am not sure I can say the positive future for the FP&A org. FP&A is 90% based out of Indianapolis and the leadership there is not smart. Former fired CFO hired bunch of people there with no leadership qualities. Finance org doesn't have any vision. They hire people in Salt Lake city, then fire all of them when they realize that we didn't benefit much by moving jobs from the bay area to UT so they again search for low-cost places where they can move the roles to cut cost. They also promoted people to VP positions who have barely 8-9 years of corporate experience just because those people were close senior leadership team.

The reason I've been at Genesys for over five years is the people I get to work with. We are an incredibly fast-growing cloud company. With our growth comes a ton of opportunities - to travel, to change roles, to work on side projects, etc. In Indianapolis, specifically, I think it's the best office to work from. First off, there are over 800 employees based here and it's so cross functional that you get to experience and meet a ton of people you wouldn't meet if you were working remote. Compensation is great, benefits are good, office facility is great (one (subsidized) restaurant, two gyms, plus an urgent care facility).

Cons

With our crazy growth, comes challenges - call them growing pains. We definitely have them and it's frustrating at times. That said, it still opens up opportunities to chart new paths and solve problems. Genesys is a company that rewards people who step up and come up with solutions.
