Lots of changes. Top heavy.

This was the worst job I’ve ever had. There was no training or meaningful onboarding beyond standard HR procedures, and no support or involvement from a delivery manager. The development teams lacked self-organization and initiative, operating in a restrictive, approval-heavy environment. Developers weren’t empowered or supported by their managers. My role’s responsibilities changed twice during my time there, and the position was inaccurately advertised from the start. Overall, the department seemed driven by a constant sense of panic and a desperate need to prove its value. This place, the IT department at GPC, is a perfect example of work harder, not smarter. So very inefficient/extra, tools not used correctly, too many spreadsheets. No one seems to care either, they just accept things as-is and aren't open to improving.
