      Pros

      Genworth is a leader in Long-term care insurance and an important player in Mortgage Insurance business. Overall the company cares about its employees and there are a lot of extra things, like lunch and learns, food trucks, volunteering, etc. Benefits are great and salary is adequate. Working in Richmond is great because we have an on-site wellness clinic for urgent care (free!), gym, and cafeteria (very cheap and pretty good). The most important thing is your manager and your team. I have been very lucky in this respect.

      Cons

      Our long-term care business has been struggling and there have been a lot of layoffs lately. I guess it's similar in other places.

      Genworth is a good place to work

      Pros

      Genworth has great people. Management has improved over the years. The benefits are good comparatively speaking. A lot of volunteer activities in the community.

      Cons

      Genworth has some struggles to overcome right now, but I believe we can get through it.
