Pros
Has a lot of great benefits from the days of GE. These include pretty rich benefits, a culture of wanting to be a good place for employees to work, and a good understanding of corporate camaraderie.
Cons
Company has been in serious turmoil since 2008 and the mortgage crisis, making many positions there (even new hires) risky. My position was terminated (with me) months after it was created, and virtually every one I knew there was also laid off as they cut back. They try hard to take care of the folks they layoff, but it looks like the turmoil continues as they restructure and try to make it through this period.
