Pros

I've been working at Genworth for just over 5 years and I feel I'm in a good position to review the company. Genworth offers a supportive and collaborative environment where employees are encouraged to bring innovative ideas to the table. Here's why I think Genworth is a great place to work: 1. Career Development Opportunities: Genworth is dedicated to helping employees grow professionally. The company offers ample opportunities for skill development, mentorship, and leadership training. If you're looking to advance your career, Genworth provides a clear path with support from management at every step. 2. Work-Life Balance: One of the biggest highlights is the genuine emphasis on work-life balance. I enjoy the hybrid work model and the office is designed with employees in mind. Managers make it easy to balance personal life with professional responsibilities. 3. Inclusive and Diverse Culture: Genworth fosters an inclusive culture where diverse perspectives are valued. From Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to diversity initiatives, the company is committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels they belong. 4. Strong Leadership and Clear Vision: The leadership team is transparent and communicates the company's vision clearly. They actively engage with employees, listening to feedback and making adjustments where needed. It’s motivating to work for a company that has a clear purpose and strategic direction, especially in providing solutions for aging populations. 5. Benefits and Compensation: The benefits package is comprehensive, with competitive pay, robust health benefits, generous CTO, and a strong 401(k) matching program. The company also offers wellness and healthcare resources to help employees maintain a healthy lifestyle. 6. Meaningful Work: At Genworth, you're not just working for a company; you're making a difference in people’s lives. Whether it’s through long-term care insurance or helping families plan for the future, the work we do has a real impact.

Pros

Genworth is a rare find. They are loyal to their employees while still making customers a priority. The benefits are amazing and complete with retirement, Long and Short-term Disability, medical, dental, etc... Growth is encouraged, and I have found upward movement to be not only possible but probable - if you do a good job. I will not be leaving this company!

Cons

The only con I have experienced is that I can't refer family to the company. I would love for other people I care about to benefit from this amazing company. There are no cons that I can think of except the expectations are also high. The company will treat you right but in return, you are expected to do your job as well as you can and to treat your customers right.
