      Pros

      Even though we are waiting on a purchase by China Oceanwide our Genworth associates and community rally against our purpose. We want to be the leader in empathetic care for our clients needs. Updated salaries should help us attract the kind of talent ready to work hard, play hard and have genuine purpose in roles. All new HR leadership has plans to push the envelope and achieve "best places to work" status again

      Cons

      The culture is...outdated. Benefits in some pockets-like leave-are slow to adapt. Leaders need to focus on motivation and work design.

      Stable Company with Great People

      Pros

      Genworth is an established company with a very friendly and transparent environment. The company really cares about their customers and their community. The business has gone through quite a bit of changes but still remain focus to be the front leaders in their industry

      Cons

      With all of it's changes, the company still struggles with what they did before compared to the direction the organization is trying to go. There is a population that is ready to make the leap forward while other parts are still holding on to what they do now (which is still successful).

      Pros

      The feeling of family and that your employer truly cares about you individually. You have ample resources to better yourself even if that means leaving the company for a better opportunity. And they would genuinely wish you well, that's rare.

      Cons

      A lot of changes in a short period of time, (all for the betterment of the company), but stressful none-the-less.
