      Unique and exciting projects around the country. Collaborative work environment between engineering and crews, fast paced work.

      Cons

      High turnover across the company and difficulty backfilling positions. Workload can cause burnout.

      Pros

      GSI was a great organization under CAI, they left the company to do what they do well. We were able to focus on the customers and the people in the company and get strategy, processes and culture and great place, We won a number of awards, brought turnover down and most employees and customer we very happy. Hard working environment

      Cons

      Under KKR the company suffered from the usual large PE firm issues, far to much teaching young MBAs about the business. Heavy distractions in reporting to ownership, lack of focus on people and customers and full focus on reporting upward. Major focus on cost cutting in an already lean environment. CFO at the time was a neurotic mess with a team that was incompetent. The real focus was turning the company and reselling it.
