      Contracted me out to a position I was interested in.

      Found out I was making $3 less than a male counterpart who had the same experience, but had been there less time than I had.

      Pros

      GWU has great benefits. Very normal working hours, good vacation/sick leave policies, as well as good medical, dental, and tuition benefits. As an employee, you receive 90% discounted tuition after a short probationary period.

      Cons

      It can feel a bit disorganized sometimes. I'm sure this varies by department, but for the one I am in it seems that there are so many people you have to contact just to get a small amount of information or fix a problem. It can make things run a bit slower and hinders employees from being maximally productive.

      It's a horrible place to work.

      Cons

      Pay is not competitive and most employees are miserable. The faculty treat staff like butlers. Avoid at all costs.
