Pros

- Flexible and autonomous work and schedule (for senior staff) - High impact work that really matters and makes a difference - Unbelievably good benefits, I mean, an automatic 10% contribution to your 401k? Unheard of. - Chance to work with and mentor some of the smartest, most dedicated students in the country - An awesome place to build your rolodex - connecting with incredible thought leaders, politicians, and Fortune 500 execs are your "everyday lunch meetings" - Ego-less, nice, friendly, committed and honest co-workers with integrity in spades - Beautiful campus, amazing location

Cons

- IT system is a bit of a mess - Onboarding process for new staff is non-existant - Heavily siloed and disjointed - Internal processes (i.e. hiring, HR, finance, etc) is beyond antiquated --- needs a serious reboot - Salaries not great

Pros

Good benefits such as 401k and insurance.

Cons

Below market salary, mediocre facilities, poor research faculty retention, severely declining core facilities. Outrageous parking costs require taking metro then a shuttle bus to get to work. The main problem is that there is ZERO support for entry researchers and lower level faculty.
