Pros

Georgetown has great benefits (medical, holidays, vacation), flexible schedule for many jobs, friendly people who are happy to come to work, stable work environment with little to no layoffs. There are often impressive guest speakers on a variety of topics. The university has been around almost as long as the country itself.

Cons

No actual raises in 10 years. The "merit" salary increase pool is about the same or less than COLA. Guest speakers sessions with the most interest fill up in about 1 minute. With such a long heritage, and no layoffs, many inefficient systems, processes, and departments stay around longer than they should.
