Pros

Partial tuition reimbursement and free education for children of employees. Parking is also reasonably priced when compared with other areas. A shuttle also provides employees transportation to campus.

Cons

Within the IT department, management has started to gradually reclassify positions from full-time to contract. Therefore, the benefit levels

Pros

Great retirement and tuition benefits. The mission of the university is positive and you can be proud of the students that come through the halls. The tuition benefit is great, but it can also make you feel locked in to working until your degree is complete.

Cons

The bureaucracy of the beast.. Whether it be supervisors, HR, or other administrative officers, there always seems to be two answers to every question. Also, for entry level employees there is little space to move up, so you most likely have to leave the university and get experience elsewhere before you can get a high level position.
