      Pay was great for it being my first tech job, and first foray into a more corporate setting.

      Cons

      Was let go after a year due to my position being funded with grant money, and that money running out.

      Pros

      Opens doors. Opportunities to meet fascinating people who are passionate about their work. Hybrid work potential. Often free leftover food.

      Cons

      Just like all of higher ed, it's a mixed bag. Everyone has good intentions, but there's a massive lack of training, oversight and communication. High turnover rate, rare pay increases, and you have to pay for parking.
