Pros

- Good benefits (hybrid schedule, a ton of PTO) - Education reimbursement - Knowledgeable and kind employees

Cons

- Below market level pay - Poor process for promotions - No merit based bonuses - Raises are mostly based on time worked at the company, and have more than once been delayed 1-2 months with no backpay - May require return to office full-time in the near future

Pros

You'll get to work a lot of projects and build an expertise. For people wanting to pursue further education, there are really good options. The job flexibility is pretty good and the pay is decent.

Cons

For many people at the PHD level, you'll end up bouncing around projects based on resource availability. Because the organization is not matrixed, this means you may end up being required to develop new skills outside of your ideal development plan in order to secure coverage.
