Pros

Great culture, good benefits, & decent opportunities for advancement for those willing to work hard. On the faculty side there is a lot of solid talent and the education/research reputation is world class.

Cons

Lots of bureaucracies that hold GT back from being more innovative in its administrative practices, low performers can often hide in the midst of this bureaucracy making it difficult to make progress. For those who patience in dealing with this, its not a deal breaker for making a good career working at GT.

Pros

I get to give back to the Georgia Tech community and help freshmen ease into their college career. I enjoy teaching students. It makes me a better communicator.

Cons

It is hard to gauge where the students are sometimes in terms of understanding the material. I hold office hours twice a week but most of the students think that they are above getting the extra help.
