Pros

The only Pro is that’s it’s fully remote!

Cons

Hello, I’ve decided it’s in my best interest to leave the company. The constant unprofessionalism from employees as well as leadership and upper management is terrible. I was totally mislead on my job duties and treated very poorly at this company. Jaqueline was very unprofessional and an extreme liar, Supervisors in my nesting sessions were very unprofessional and just plain ghetto! And Nathaniel was the worst I’ve ever spoken to at a company so disrespectful and condescending! During training from Olivia me as well as my team were mislead terribly about so many things and lied to about times for leadership training and duties in leadership. I’ve never worked a company in my entire life that is this unprofessional and unorganized. This company has very unrealistic expectations and clearly don’t care much about the employees here! There is no REAL health benefits some nonsense of reimbursement! We have no sick days, tech issues we don’t get paid for that time. They pick and choose what’s to be discussed in meetings and asking questions about work related things can be taken as being a distraction because they either don’t know the answer or lie or are dismissive with simple questions that are related to work. And you have to work 40 hours to earn 2.46 of PTO!!!!!! So this is my official resignation!!!! Goodbye! I’ll find another company that’s treats their employees well! And have actual benefits and better pay!

Thank you for your feedback. My hope is that you shared these thoughts, as well as your resignation, through the appropriate channels at the company, not just on social media. We have an open door policy, as well as tremendously caring leaders who are happy to discuss and address your concerns. Details of the role, include PTO accrual and health coverage options, are discussed at the point of hire and should not have been a surprise. Again, if you had any questions regarding either of these, HR or your manager would have been happy to address them with you. We do thank you for your service with us at GetInsured and wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

It's remote and you get weekends off.

Cons

Micromanagement is a pervasive problem. Rather than empowering employees to take ownership of their work, management insists on overseeing every detail, often stifling creativity and productivity. This approach has not only hindered my ability to perform my job effectively but also led to a high level of stress and frustration, even though my QA scores for the past year have been above 99%. Trust and autonomy are crucial for any professional environment, and unfortunately, these are severely lacking at GetInsured. Moreover, there was little support for professional growth or development. Opportunities for advancement here are rare and the pay is well below industry standards, even though they tell you otherwise. Not once during my time here, have I had a one-on-one coaching session or a discussion regarding professional growth, and the feedback is often more critical than constructive. I’ve been chastised in front of team members for not asking permission to take minute steps to do my job and it feels as though the company is more focused on finding faults than fostering talent. There is absolutely no autonomy and even restroom breaks are highly scrutinized.

Pros

Depending on the state exchange you wind up in, you could have good management and suitable supervision. Compensation is decent, holiday scheduling can be good if you're directly hired and not through an agency. They train and attempt to hire from within.

Cons

Depending on the state exchange you wind up in, and where it is in development, your days and hours and schedules and growth and opportunities could be anywhere from 'available' to 'not a chance'. Ironically, the insurance offered by an insurance company is itself laughable. Cheap ICHRA won't cover anything, also you then can't qualify for your own state's tax credits.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I wanted to take a moment to respond to your comment on the health insurance available to call center teams. We chose the ICHRA format for the call center group because it is more cost effective and provides a reasonable amount of coverage for those entry level positions. Each employee has the right to choose a plan that is most beneficial and cost effective for them and their families. Many of our call center roles are part-time and/or seasonal, so our standard full-time benefits are not offered to this population, but we want to be able to offer helpful coverage to the team, despite their part-time/seasonal status. The company also shares in the cost of the coverage by providing a monthly amount to the employee to cover the cost of premiums.
