Finding a work study position was simple; I was given a list, and I chose a job. I met with my supervisor, was hired, and I kept the same job for all four years. It wasn't too hard to work while being a student -- it was a good break too.

Cons

No real cons. I got more autonomy than I expected, but my situation was unique.
