      Pros

      The pay was good and highly competitive for the area and position. Some people were nice and intelligent. Benefits were decent, just like anywhere else. The work was always interesting and there were lots of learning opportunities. Professional development was encouraged and supported by some, but not all, managers.

      Cons

      Exceedingly arrogant yet inexperienced and irrational management from the top down. Backstabbing culture all around. Extreme micromanagement. Promotions are not merit-based. If you have worked here for <10 years, your ideas and experience do not matter. No work-life balance to speak of. Morale always seemed to be very low.

      Pros

      Gilead has great benefits and rewards hard workers appropriately when timelines and goals are met. This is a fast paced environment wth lots of work that is challenging and rewarding.

      Cons

      Not a company/environment for individuals that are not proactive, indecisive or slack-off.
