Pros

GitHub has been an extremely open and transparent environment that promotes collaboration and encourages feedback. This is the most positive working enviornment I've experienced that enables employees to find the work-life balance that works for them and supports them.

Cons

I don't really have any big cons to mention - we're growing quickly and we're working together as a company to make sure that we maintain our culture and promote an inclusive and supportive place to work. Employees need to be able to adapt to change, work asychronously, and be able to work with constructive feedback.

Pros

GitHub is a successful, profitable company full of incredibly passionate and thoughtful people committed to making the products and the people the best they can be. The internal focus on diversity, professional development, and personal fulfillment is something I have never seen or heard of at any company before. GitHub is growing into a mature, forward-thinking tech company that's working hard to bring in more and more of the most talented and diverse engineers, salespeople, customer supportocats, and admin staff... it's truly impressive and exciting to know that I have the privilege to be part of this awesome team and company. On top of all of that, pay is competitive and benefits are out of this world. Seriously nothing more I could ask for.

Cons

With rapid growth comes rapid change and some growing pains. It seems harder for some people to adjust than others, but overall everything seems to be heading in a really positive direction as long as you keep an open mind.

Pros

Remote work. Decent pay and benefits.

Cons

I’ve never seen a company decline like GitHub. What was once a fun, upbeat culture has now become a cold… dishonest and boring environment. Total lack of empathy for customers and employees. I have seen senior leaders in customer success manipulate data and craft conclusions with no basis on fact. Metrics are shared that are not accurate and then data is manipulated to attempt to back up the lie. Anyone who speaks up is gone.
