Pros

- Great team members - Excellent benefits (up to 50% 401(k) match which is more than $10K per year if you fully max out) - Remote and global

Cons

- Leadership is constantly changing priorities - Microsoft is increasing their presence and changing GitHub's formerly start-up and people-centric culture - Limited career opportunities. If you get hired as a mid-level person, expect very limited promotion opportunities.

Pros

- Compensation - Flexible Schedule - Benefits - Great mission/product - Lots of very skilled people within the company

Cons

- Portions of the business, at least in my experience, are very poorly managed and not able to effectively collaborate with other departments - Expect very minimal upwards mobility and opportunities for growth
