Pros

I've really enjoyed working at GitHub as a software engineer. The company has a strong focus on developer experience and my direct manager provides great mentoring and learning opportunities.

Cons

It's still enterprise software, but the best implementation of this role I've gotten to work at yet!

- Collaborative culture - I get to work on exciting products and features that define an industry - Flexible schedule and healthy work-life balance - Competitive compensation and benefits - Fun company events - Lots of opportunities to learn new skills and high-visibility projects

Cons

- It's in-between a startup and a big company so there are some infrastructural growing pains, which slows down processes at times - Departments seems to be staffed unevenly, leading to a shortage of resources from teams that you'll often rely on
