Pros

There are plenty of people at GiveCampus who are awesome, smart and fun. Generally, users seem to like the products and are fans of the company's brand (cool, fun, on the cutting edge of fundraising technology).

Cons

Unfortunately the company's internal culture couldn't be more different from the culture and vibe presented to customers. Lack of transparency and lack of follow through from leadership are dismissed as being a part of "startup life." Leadership is known for gaslighting employees who come to them with concerns or challenges. The CEO recently said in a business story about how he "intentionally doesn’t pay top market salaries" in order for the company to stay profitable. As a result employees are overworked and underpaid and morale is low among more junior employees.

Associate Role Review for GiveCampus

Pros

Expectations of long hours and working on weekends for low pay + little benefits, advancement opportunity, or chance to develop. Speak to current employees off the record before accepting a role here -they can be very persuasive and will sell you the moon during the interview process, but that does not at all reflect the reality of working there. Don't buy into the mission talk- leadership definitely does not.

Cons

They do hire a lot of fundraisers, so if you’re trying to find a way to switch industries from fundraising to tech it might be worth it for a year.

Pros

GiveCampus definitely has some talented team members. Working here could be a good opportunity to switch from another industry, and there are many opportunities to work cross functionally with other teams

Cons

The reviewer below who referred to the culture as “Toxic” is spot on. I never planned to write a Glassdoor review, but then I noticed that all of the recent 5 star reviews here seem to be from the management team, while associates or “anonymous employees” are the ones writing more critical reviews and I knew I had to add my experience to the mix. This is how GiveCampus operates: the management team pretty much looks out for themselves at the expense of other employees. In my experience, those who aren't on the management team are taken advantage of with below average pay, promises of raises/promotions that never seem to happen, and major thrash from management's constantly shifting priorities. The team is majority white, upper middle class, and privileged, and those who don’t fall under those categories may find themselves alone and out of place at GiveCampus.
