The editorial team itself is full of good, kind people - journalists and editors who just want to do their jobs, just such a shame this is made near impossible by relentless new, terrible policies from the CEO and upper management.
Cons
The culture created from the top of the company is diabolical. Absolutely no regard from the CEO and CSO for employee welfare. Relentless money-grabbing policies from upper management that makes doing good journalism impossible. In my relatively short time at the company, in my team alone I saw at least 10 people (almost the entire team) leave either through quitting because they couldn't stand it there anymore or through unfair redundancies. Disagreeing with policies will see you threatening with 'disciplinary action'. Almost no room for movement, salary rises are extremely difficult to come by. The culture grinds you down until you have to just leave.
