      Pros

      Lovely people, especially the commercial directors & sales directors (not c-suites!) Good for learning Good product to sell.

      Cons

      Pay isn’t good enough compared with other similar roles There are definitely some favourites + internal politics. Imagine working a deal for a more senior guy to kick up a fuss internally and then steal. Very bad rap for the aggressive sales methods of GlobalData within the pharmaceutical industry. CEO of pharma stated “I don’t talk to sales guys” - again very sad state of affairs. This is the same CEO that also wants to review every potential sale made.

      Small and dynamic teams means there is a lot of responsibility placed on individuals, which can be leveraged to shine and get both internal and external exposure

      Cons

      Too many internal processes are centralised, disabling agile solutions for individual sectors. Analysts have no performance related bonuses
