Pros

Time off and benefits are good

Cons

DO NOT APPLY TO LOGISTICS EITHER AS EMPLOYEE OR CONTRACTOR. If you like un fair wages, mountains of work with little training, and little input/help from incompetent mangers, we are the place for you! Even better if your from target warehouse, just have a seat in a management position! No questions asked! I've worked in this department for 3 years, and it's gone steadily down hill every year. Managers are all from target and they are all self absorbed and communicate through emails only. They hired a section manager, guess where they were from...Target. unfortunately for them this time the person was smart enough to quit within 1 quarter, then come back to an even better position they are even more incompitent at. Only some figure out the spineless tactics management uses to screw people out of money. God forbid they look you in the eyes while they pound what little hope you have of growing your job into a career completely to rubble. They tell all employees that they have them set up for raises and promotions, complete crap. They tell you you can get promoted in October, October comes and then some mystical circumstances occur and it's march. Yet again it can't happen in March, but don't worry about it, definitely in october...what a joke. This happens time and time again, year after year, but by all means keep working your butt off for them while they pocket big bonuses and hearty salaries. They keep the big guy(the site won't allow for a name, but he is generally not seen and ill tempered) in the dark. Tell him what he wants to hear while the flames of failure consume the guys actually doing work. It's clear they keep the big guy in the dark because whenever he does finally come out of the bank he apparently lives in, he freaks out about common practices that have been in place for years. But don't worry he will hire more contractors to "fix" the problem instead of actually getting to the root cause of the issue, which is ...you guessed it, poor management/insufficient training. Honestly they should wipe all the managers out every napoleon, every fresh graduate, and especially every single one from target. they might actually be successful if they listened to the people actually doing work, and working directly with other departments. Start promoting fairly within, instead of leading people along to just hire or even rehire from target, and at a higher wage than those they ask to train these people. Good grief. Pretty soon McDonald's will be paying their employees more than GF logistics . I feel terrible for the guys who've been working in the logistics department for 3+ years. They make WAY less than the new hires they are forced to train. Just look on this site, California logistics pays 20-25, malta(the site actually making money) 16-20..the new outside hires are in the 20, 21 range, and the poor contractors that they treat literally like slaves, make a lateral move around 16. And they will never bring up the other guys who have to train the outside hires. Terrible business practice. I've seen people quit, and come back, be given a pay pump and still be the terrible workers they were when they left. Management has no clue who the good workers are. They make up fake positions, basically supervisors, without the pay. And they expect other employees to just listen to these guys, that it would seem, they pick at random. This department took over chemical management and deliveries around when I was hired, guess what, no increase in pay or differential for working with literally the most dangerous stuff on site. Oh and no background needed at all in chems, any schmuck will do. Even management doesn't know what to do if something spills or is in contact with something it shouldnt. And training is garbage, " just do this cause its gotta get done". Or watch this slide show, hell even worse, read this email! Hey OSHA I have an idea don't schedule an audit, literally just come in. That way these unsafe practices won't be shoved in the back or cleaned up a few days before you show up. Then you can see just how dangerous these target warehouse idiots are running things. Im shocked Malta hasn't been burnt off the planet yet. management gets upset and spiteful because everyone either freaks out and quits or is actively trying to leave the department. theres problems shift to shift because so few know how to do the job right and management doesnt have the guts to resolve issues and train those trainable or fire those that are not. just move em to gowns where they will continue to add to our suckfest. Ive even seen write ups happen to a few people, which basically blocks the person from a raise, a bonus, and a department switch. God forbid you go to HR (also a complete joke) about money or any other problem, management will literally threaten you, about how they won't be able to "protect you". Like them piling on work from your department and every other department while paying you garbage, and climbing the ladder by stabbing knives in everyone's back, is them "protecting you". This department is notorious for saying yes to anything the other modules want with no staff to cover and no knowledge about what they are taking over. Seriously, if it wasn't for the benefits and the time off, there would be no reason to live this life. Again. STAY AWAY FROM LOGISTICS!!!

Pros

- 3/4 days on or off. This was great work sch offered oppose to Monday through Friday but there's not growth of opportunism to this - Accrue up to 150 hrs of Vacation time, 32 hrs PTO, 80 hrs sick time. That’s a nice chuck of time - work from home option but you'll work from home all the time. - lots of projects for experience. - holiday time off. Holiday dinners for employees

Cons

- absolutely no growth in the company. It's better if you leave and come back for a better position with experience. - Mangers freely do as they please - poorly staffed - they Promote mangers not techs or standard employees. barely recongize the teams that meet mangers deadlines. Credit is given to the managers not the employees who made the project successful - most hired on employees are lazy here. You walk past people you will likely see Facebook or social media or some streaming, personal browsing. - false promises - you can get stuck here cause its so comfortable without any movement for your career goals - small cent raises but bonuses are given to mangers
