Pros

There are many opportunities for growth and learning. The site has the most updated equipment to work with and it's available to share among many employees.

Cons

There is no team work, each one striving to stand as a shinning star. The culture is extremely competitive and cut-throat. There is a lot of finger pointing going on that prevents solving problems and creates an atmosphere of fear.

Pros

There are lots of really smart people trying to accomplish a lot with fewer people every day and a new crisis pushed by upper management. benefits are good but not exceptional. Some extras like Toastmasters and employee/family days funded by the company are nice.

Cons

They use a bell curve for review grading on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being high. Almost everyone gets a 3 and some people have to get 1 or 2. In theory, it could work but in practice it leads to manager meeting where everyone is pointing out the faults of the other staff in order to get higher ratings for their team. Other companies have abandoned this years ago. HR should come into the groups and work with managers daily to help them set good goals and manage people. I had a new HR person 9 months ago and she has never come talk to any of us! My staff don't even know what she looks like or remember her name. The three 300mm fans should work together but aren't measure on that and everyone is micromanaged by metrics. So they all go their own way and there is little sharing of efforts. Upper management tells staff that they need to be like Samsung workers and do more than one job. But people already are in lots of areas. The Technology group had lots of open positions and money but everyone else is losing positions and people don't get replaced. When someone leaves everyone just gets more work they will be critiqued for not doing well.
