Pros

The Mfg. Boss in my area did a power grab when the company started, so my group has lot of input on factory flow of production. I was hired right out college and since my boss demanded we have all he power, I get to boss around people with years of experience within the Fab, and even though my knowledge is limited, I have complete control of the area.

Cons

I get criticised by these more experienced people because they think my concerns are not best for the area, but my boss controls all decisions. My boss seems to be fixiated on what many consider insignificant but as long as the Boss is happy; I'm good. Tools can be down for weeks due to some insiignificant and we push the MTs to get the chambers up no matter what....Turns are what matter...

Pros

Some of the best of the best employees work here. They are people with a good old fashioned work ethic with average 20 years experience who thought they were coming here to make a difference. Now they count down the days for there 2 years contract to be up so they can get out of this nightmare.

Cons

Upper management is so concerned with micromanaging and has the recent college graduate making all the decisions. What you learn in school and what happens in the real world isn't always the same. When an experienced employee who genuinely cares about the company and it's success tries to voice their opinion, it is dismissed. Most experienced employees dread coming to work now. The moral is the worst I've seen in any company. Management closes it's eyes to it. It has been brought up in communications meetings and the upper management response was "suck it up". The arrogance of upper management and the poor naive fresh college graduates will take this place down. If it wasn't for the ignorant upper management this fab would already be successfully making wafers and in record time and record yields.

Pros

Global Cafe- good food, great customer service

Cons

They do not compensate the right people for their quality work, but over compensate the lazy people. They pay children straight out of college to do managerial positions but most have no manergial experience what so ever. The training is below sub-par. Human Resource has proven to be useless. Management constantly lying to employees. Promotions are lateral moves, so the person in the same job title can be getting paid significantly more for the same work. Their GPM system is a joke and basically pointless. Communication is horrible.
