Pros

The work is great. The colleagues and people in the group are very helpful.

Cons

- Very poor work-life balance - Poor compensation and benefits. Done some correction but was half-cooked. Huge disparity in the compensation between job levels. - Extremely poor HR team. Senseless recruitments with huge disparity in the compensation and the offered job role. Comparing semiconductor company with the IT companies for compensation ratio calculation. - Site head lacks the clarity on fine issues. While he appears to be very open and welcoming to the suggestions and complains, takes no actions. - Extremely poor at communication. Few employees were laid off at two different periods within a year but no communication was made. All was done secretly. HR is not open with the data they are using for the comp and benefits. Apparantely there is no data. Last time when India site head left the job, no communication was made to the employees. - Lacks execution of the policies. Took almost 2 years to implement car lease policy which is quite standard in many companies already. -Most importantly, India site is becoming more of a IT company than the product company. Company recruits PhD and masters from tier-1 institutes like IITs just to show the number on paper. In reality, there is no value of their skills. Company does not acknowledge the importance of the skills of such employees and looks at the attrition rate to consider the compensation correction.
