Pros

People, people, people - the company culture and people were the reason I stayed so long. Great place to start out in staffing if you are a new grad

Cons

Unrealistic metrics, throwing candidates at the wall and hoping they stick, commission plan changed too much - compensation rewarded to upper management - recruiters treated unequally in relation to sales No real clients in Chicago, yet that's where the headquarters are located.

Pros

I started with Glotel straight out of college as a Recruiter and have been afforded many opportunities to hold different positions throughout the company which have included Recruitment, Account Management, Employee Relations, HR Management, and Contract Administration. I've watched our company change over the past nearly 9 years and I've seen many of positive changes. The one that has been closest to my heart is the Associate Care and Employee Relations programs. During the economic and employment downturn Glotel looked to creative options for offering resources and benefits to our employees which led to the creation of the Associate Care Program. From the top down, it is evident that there is a true caring for it's internal employees and associates on contract and I'm honored to have been a part of that. I've also seen a major shift in our internal culture. Our current structure has allowed for our employees to come together and work as a team as well as work across teams. This change has been reinforced by our changes to hiring practices. We look beyond the skills and experience that individuals can bring to our company and look for people who will bring positive contributions to our culture. I'm very proud to work for Glotel and to have the opportunities I've had. This is a great place for anyone who is looking for a fun and supporting work environment. For Sales and Recruiters who want support from their team and upper management while also having the freedom and accountability to manage their own business. And for HQ employees who are looking for a place to start or grow in their career.

Cons

As a staffing and project services firm Glotel has both internal employees and associates on contract working at clients sites across the nation. There is an industry stigma that staffing firms only offer paychecks to their associates and are otherwise not involved. Through our Recruitment and Sales contact and the Associate Care program, Glotel has been able to provide a level of service and connection with our associates to show them that they are Glotel employees as much as they might feel like our client's employees. While Glotel creates it's own culture with our associates, it's important for those looking at contract work to also review the client and office culture for the position they are applying for, so they are informed about the type of environment they will be working in each day. Glotel Recruiters will be able to provide this information to ensure that it will be the best fit.
