Pros

The people are truly amazing (except for the admins who are the most high stung people you will ever meet). I learned how to work hard and grind. Learning opportunities are high for the first 1-2 years.

Cons

Pay is subpar but expect to work 80-100 weeks and weekends and holidays. Tech is subpar but expect to deliver a huge amount of work in a short time. Company claims to ‘hear you’ but expect nothing to change. This job is challenging and can be rewarding but that quickly fizzles when you are earning $50k/year for 100 work weeks. If you live to work this is the place for you. If you want to work to live your life, get out of there.

Pros

Great experience and learning. Admin, analyst, and most advisors are very nice.

Cons

Management doesn’t care about Analyst and are treated as replaceable. You don’t have a voice. They’ll act like they hear you. All they care about is profiting and don’t care how much time they take away from your life. After 1-2 years you cap on what you can really learn, and are better off going to work somewhere that doesn’t use technology your grandparents used. Stay too long and you become out of date with the rest of the workforce. Particularly with technology. They expect you to deliver above and beyond to the client. Meanwhile, everyone below is treated like peasants. Maybe that is what being in an abusive relationship is like.

Pros

Diverse work environment Interesting technical challenges Smart people

Cons

Culture of tolerating abusive jerks. Heavily hierarchical structure it very difficult for a problem to be something that is both "a problem for one person" and "something that one person has the power to solve".
