Pros

- Really intelligent people - Great Product - Good benefits and pay

Cons

- New leadership seems more focus on throwing out changes that they are mandating the team to do than actually enabling them for success - Feedback and concerns fall on deaf ears, no one seems interested in what the field is going through - Asks and objectives change every other week, are always extremely urgent, and truly provide no value and there is little to no enablement for the CS team on accomplishing these asks - At the end of the day, we're providing worse service to our existing customers so that time, energy, and resources can all be spent on net new customers

Thank you for your #NoSugar feedback. We're glad you value our intelligent team, great product, and competitive pay and benefits. However, reading your concerns about the new leadership's approach to change management, lack of enablement for the CS team, and deprioritization of existing customers was difficult. Creating Raving fans internally and externally has always been a top priority for Gong, and I'm sorry if that hasn't been your experience. We are committed to continuous improvement as we evolve and value your input, if you'd like to discuss further, please reach out directly. - Suni Lobo

Pros

Great product. Second to none. Must have for companies who want to understand what’s happening across their customer interactions to be competitive and make intelligent decisions for their business.

Cons

Ever since the beginning of this fiscal year, Gong demoted the entire Mid-Market Team to a new segment that’s really SMB, and promoted the Senior Commercial Team to Mid-Market (the new SMB). The former mid-market team was abandoned and demoted. They’ve been slowly leaving Gong since.

Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback. I was happy to read about your thoughts about our product (I 100% agree!). I’m sorry to hear that you feel the mid-market team was demoted. That’s not the case. In fact, the MM team has never been so important to Gong. We’re constantly listening to our teams to understand what’s working and what can be improved. In this case, we incorporated team feedback to improve MM lead volume, the TAM definition, and standardize our processes. There’s no doubt that any change can present challenges, but the overall feedback has been positive across the team. Feel free to reach out to me with any additional feedback. - Sandi Kochhar, CPO

Pros

+CEO is top notch +Product is best in class (albeit losing ground to competitors) +Company is growing and scaling again

Cons

+No culture at all, especially in CS (filter reviews for Customer Success and you'll see how poor it has been lately) +Extreme process oriented to the point of overkill. Internal meetings galore. +CS leaders seem more anxious than their reps leading to a fear based model and constant second guessing of your work and if you're doing a good job. +Targets constantly move, changes constantly happen (while this is normal in the start up world it seems like there's no clear vision or prioritization of work/life bandwidth) +Growth conversations and actually developing as an employee and human take a backseat to ensuring your renewals come through or whatever leadership tells you is on fire currently

Thank you for your feedback and for acknowledging the strengths of our CEO and product. At Gong, we prioritize transparent processes that empower employees to succeed. While we recognize there’s always room for improvement, we’ve made significant strides this year in clearly communicating our goals, vision, and the rationale behind changes. Our goal is to provide Gongsters with the information they need without adding unnecessary pressure, and we apologize if that hasn’t been your experience. -Suni Lobo
