Ultimately the biggest problem was Amazon. From the bureaucracy to the crazy overtime, all of that was brought on by Amazon and without anything to make up for it. It got to be incredibly stressful, plus managers did little to support us. There was so much resentment and negativity within months of being acquired. On top of that, the salary is not competitive. There's blatant favoritism, with some employees getting special perks that are denied to others. Speaking of perks, there are few, and be wary of any that are advertised ("food in the office" means there might be a box of Pop-Tarts lying around). There's no room for career growth whatsoever. The technology we used was embarrassingly outdated. There is absolutely no reason to work here.
