Goodyear does have great technology

Cons

worst company for people of color to advance. Goodyear turns a blind eye. Management does not promote qualified but some one that they like. It's heartbreaking that I have to apply outside the company to advance my career. Was told by management that they already hired someone for a job i applied for yet the job is still posted 3 months later.

Pros

Great people, but most are long term employees soon to retire.

Cons

Impossible to attract young, new talent unless they don't bother to research the company. Chemical side of company is a very small, unappreciated, and woefully underfunded part of global Goodyear.

Decent pay, a lot of good people work there, albeit brainwashed to the Goodyear way, which in their mind, is the only way.

Cons

Management is in n the Stone Age. The beatings will continue until morale improves mentality. The HR department is downright evil, untrustworthy and slimy. Will not be surprised to see one of the chemical plants in the news, in a bad way.
