Still okay, but used to be better.
Pros
The pay is good, and the benefits are great. Google's management culture also emphasizes respect and autonomy for employees, although somewhat less so than it did in previous years.
Cons
As a long-time employee, I can definitely say that the culture has gone steadily downhill. The company is much more corporate now, and has lost its sense of fun. 10 years ago, Google was engaged in all sorts of creative and interesting computer science projects. Now it's much more product-focused, and most jobs are run-of-the-mill software engineering gigs. It's difficult to move up in the company, because most positions are already occupied by old-timers, and the company isn't breaking new ground any more. It's not necessarily worse than other big tech companies, but it's not any better either.
