Pros

Employees are able to speak their minds and stand up fo what they believe in. That is why you see walk-outs and hear about things that employees want to improve. Google executives listen and employees are empowered to speak their minds without fear of retribution. Life at Google is far better than almost any company and just about every employee comes to work and leaves work happy. All the news articles looking to find something wrong with working at Google are misguided. The writers don't understand that voicing a desire for equality, inclusion, and diversity are cornerstones of the Google culture. It doesn't mean employees are unhappy. It means they are good people fighting for continuous improvement in these areas even if Google is already excelling in these areas. People will always ask Google to do even more good for the world and their employees because they know Google will take action. It's awesome.

Cons

Sometimes I feel too full from eating gourmet food all day long. Everyone is so accomplished, productive, and happy that it can make you feel insecure.

Pros

Amazing company culture, focus on employee growth and advancement, work life balance is great, the power to progress is in the employee hands. Product-led company, product managers are the DRI for user-influencing features. Collaboration is key and nurtured throughout the company.

Cons

- perf and promos have become tedious and sometimes manufactured - not all teams work in high-velocity agile - some public culture slip ups in recent years
