Pros

Honestly there was no upside to working for this company other than getting paid weekly. Pay was okay and there was also promise of 15% salary bonus paid out quarterly but please note that if you don't hit the metrics for that bonus, as a supervisor, there is no communication from management that there will be no bonus pay for that quarter.

Cons

I've never left a review on here before, but after the absolutely terrible experience I had with GFS I wanted to warn anyone who was thinking about joining this company to strongly advise that you reconsider. Honestly, GFS has hands down been the worst experience I've had ever working for a company, which is saying something because I've worked for some bad places before. For starters, they make a lot of promises that they have 0 intention of upholding to bring you on board, only to use you as a scapegoat when the business is failing because the company has no real plan/strategies for success. Information gets intentionally withheld from applicants during the interview process. Get everything that is said in writing otherwise they will not honor anything they say or promise. This venture felt like some golf buddies thought it would be a good idea to open a couple stores out in Colorado so they had an excuse to come visit on the companies dime. There was no structure to anything, terrible business decisions made from the beginning and no one in charge actually cares about anything other than whether you are working 50hrs or not even though there is 0 need for it, which is especially frustrating when there is no volume coming through the doors, and the hourly associates hours have already been cut due to this. There is also 0 communication from the management. Shift and team member changes happen without the department supervisors being made aware at all and being intentionally excluded from these decisions/happenings. The health insurance is horrendous, and easily the worst insurance I've ever had to to deal with in my working life. Also, after making a bunch of promises they never intended to uphold, they will eliminate entire shifts, along with salary leader positions and prove they truly do not care about their employees because all they offer you is a 2 weeks severance package. 2 weeks severance for a salaried leader is crazy work, and is straight disrespectful especially after all the promises and opportunity that are made to bring you on board. During the entire onboarding and interviewing process, it was heavily preached that "Gordon takes care of their employees because they are privately owned" but honestly the way this company moves is dirtier than any corporation I've worked for. They proved time and time again that they clearly do not care about their employees in the slightest, so do not be fooled by their claims if looking at accepting a position with the company. They also stated that the they won't be denying any unemployment but you will only get 2 weeks of unemployment before your allotted funds get exhausted. On top of the fact that they only provided 2 weeks of severance (which gets taxed as a bonus) in this economy for a salaried leader who helped them open up their stores, while only having 1 out of 21 days off leading to the launch, working 14 days in a row for 10-14hrs a day is the dirtiest thing I have seen from a company.
