Lost it's charm, turned into a meat grinder

Pros

Flexible work schedule, subsidized parking/transit, downtown location.

Cons

There is a reason (many actually) why this company has had nearly every position turn over within the last couple years. It is a thankless job with huge amounts of overtime for which the only reward is a continued requirement for more overtime. Time off is minimal, if you're even allowed to take time off. No time off first 6 months of employment. Pay is below market. It is the second worst company culture I have ever seen. Financial instability causes many problems for the company and management is only focused on short-term financials while they let morale and work-life balance rot in the wake of scrambles to get beyond the sins of the past which still haunt the company.

Pros

Inspiring (sounding) mission and vision, creative and innovative (sounding) approach to education, working with students is very rewarding.

Cons

Insufficient/non-competitive salary except at the highest levels of management, limited advancement/leadership opportunities, dysfunctional internal communication and workflow, toxic internal environment, high turnover
