      Pros

      Honesty. The company is proud of their image, ethics, quality and safety. Ranked by Ethosphere for many years, Best Places to Work etc. While the corporation pays less than competitors, it's where you want to work.

      Cons

      Leadership has changed in recent years from builders running to corporation to non-builders. The corporation was heavily involved in proving to employees that they are the most important asset through the Learning and Development department. Should the 'was' change...they'll again earn the retention years of their employees.

      Pros

      Overall good people, feels like a second family. Some really smart people work here. Importance of safety is stressed everyday.

      Cons

      Granite seems to not be rebounding with the economy. 401k is mediocre, and health benefits are getting worse every year. It seems like Granite is not winning work as much as they should be.
