Pros

Are you looking to be cheated out of commission? Do you want to work long hours for no pay? Do you want to be treated like a child? Do you want to feel your personal health and safety mean nothing? Then Granite is the place for you. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Granite is the place for you to loose money, self respect and financial freedom. If you stay too long, you'll be left with empty dreams of financial freedom and have the ability to trump your friends at dinner parties when the subject comes up about "Bad Companies To Work For". You'll be able to hold your head up and say "Yes I Worked For The Worst Company on Glassdoor". Its an accolade I would strongly recommend you avoid if you can. On the bright side, if you have a pulse you can get a job there.

Cons

Granite is a place where enthusiasm and passion go to die. There culture is built on constant back stabbing, the longer term employees steal accounts and commission from newer employees working hard to make the money that is promised. Management and Senior Management rewards such behavior and builds a culture of non-ethics and unprofessionalism. Regardless of how hard you work and how much opportunity you create, your accounts are just a click away from being stolen and commissions awarded to people within the organization who have no experience with the acct. Its a waiting game, Senior Management waits until your not looking or they fire you to reap the benefits or your hard work. The culture is absolutely unprofessional and rewards those looking to cheat the system, your treated as a child told work starts at 8:00, ends at 5:00 and your lucky to survive the dash to the parking lot. Snow means nothing, when the state closes the highways you are still expected to be at your desk at 8:00, and you sacrifice a vacation day if you don't make it in. So that being said, employee health and safety mean nothing, its all about how much money they can make off you and how little they have to pay you for your effort.

Pros

Free water, parking if you can find a spot, Gym and occasional bonuses which really equal out to nothing once taxes are taken out.

Cons

This company is the worst company I have ever worked for. If you ever want to go back to High School, this is the place to be. The culture of this company is one of fear. Employees bust thier behinds to meet goals and are compensated with low pay. So much for a 1 Billion dollar company.Everyone is on edge and most of the employees here are miserable. Management does not respect the employees and treats them like children. The company doesn't value their employees, which is why there is a high turnover rate. People are either quiting or getting fired. They care more about giving thousands of dollars to charities(good cause), which by the way is coming out of the employees pockets every Friday, but can't give annual raises with reviews. Nice tax write off for the big guy. People don't stay here too long, especially those who have college degrees. Those who don't tend to stick atound in fear that they wont find anything better. Not much room for advancement and id thete is any, they make it hard for you to get it. Micro management is the thing to do around here, try to stay out of the microscope. Once your spotted your screwed forever. Don't dear punch in a minute before/after your shift unless you want to be spoken to or better yet put on warning. Recess is at 12, Just make sure you chug down your lunch in time to make it back to your desk to punch in by 1. You want to wear jeans on Friday's....you must pay $3 or your name will be reported to Granite Police. Once 5 hits, all he'll breaks loose in the parking lot. It's literally a rat race just to beat the traffic. You've just finish your jail bid and you won't want to spend another minute in that building. I could go on......just do yourself a favor and stay far away as possible from this place. I sure wish I knew what I know now.

Pros

Ability to make money (in sales only) by following a wildly old-school style of selling.

Cons

Micromanagement is an understatement. Freedom literally doesn’t exist. Perfect for a fresh face out of college with no concept of what a healthy workplace consists of. Everyone else, shame on you for going in knowing how phony and horrible leadership is. No respect for anyone that attempts at moving the needle to make it a healthier, happier environment. You are out for yourself as many before and many after will be sold down the river to make a statement to a team or save themself. Most that thrive (financially) keep their head down and follow blindly. Embarrassing place that shockingly has continued to grow in a reactionary manner within a rather fast-paced industry. At your desk at 8 (or else), lunch at 12-1, final bell rings at 5. It’s HS all over again. That’s not a joke.
