Because their benefits are pathetic, free gym is the only real benefit. Everything else, parking, close to the T, 401k, any company has that! Dress code is strictly enforced, shirt and tie for everyone! Even if all you do is stare at the computer screen all day. Expect to come in during snow emergency with travel ban in effect or not get paid or use a vacation day. Computers still run Windows XP... Yeah. Windows 10 is coming and they are still on XP and still using the computers that came with it originally. This is a company that does not reinvest their money back in yet they clearly have the money. Free press and tax write-off are more attractive for them. Granite is not a publicly traded company and they have no debt but no investor would even put their money in this company even if it was. Their bulk of income is from reselling copper lines; stuck in the past yet again. The world is moving away from land lines; where is your long term prospect there?
