Pros

Nothing good to mention besides having internal teammates to trauma bond with

Cons

Granite is an extremely sales-driven company, which means the pay structure is heavily tilted in favor of sales representatives. However, many sales reps don't have enough product knowledge, likely due the lack of training this company offers. This often leave others to carry the burden of figuring out how to meet customers' specific needs which is both time-consuming and frustrating. Hard work is not rewarded. The more competent you prove yourself to be, the more work and responsibilities are piled onto your plate, often to the point of exhaustion. There is no recognition for your efforts, and promotions are nonexistent, even for top-performing employees. The current culture fosters a mindset of doing the bare minimum because there are no incentives for employees to go above and beyond. The company has no clear growth path, and turnover is incredibly high. Granite tends to hire fresh graduates at low salaries, and once they've burned out, their roles are quickly filled with new hires. This lack of investment in employees is a major issue. Telecom is a challenging industry to learn, and having already devoted so much effort mastering the field, you may find yourself trapped. But this company does not value your time or development. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere if you're considering a role here.

Thank you for sharing your feedback! We’re glad to hear that you were able to develop important sales skills and get valuable experience through practice and cold-calling during your internship. The competition among interns also sounds like it was a great opportunity to push yourself and learn more. We do understand that the long hours and time spent at the desk can be challenging. We're continually working to ensure that our internships are both rewarding and manageable, and your feedback will help us in finding ways to improve the overall experience for future interns. Thanks again for your perspective, and we wish you the best in your future career endeavors!
