Close knit group of co-workers. Long term relationships with employees. Excellent benefits. Encouragement to continue learning and education in your field.

Cons

There can be some territorial frictions between the electrical side of the house and the comm/data side of the house.

Pros

Employee-owned company offers great financial opportunity. Good benefits package. Generous severance package.

Cons

When I was there, I noticed there were basically two employee cohorts: long-term employees and new employees. There were very few in between. I think like any large organization, your experience depends a great deal upon your work group. Unfortunately, I have never worked with a more unpleasant group. I about did cartwheels the day I was laid off, even though it meant I was back on the job search. The severance I received was very generous considering the length of time I was there.
