Pros

Benefits are very good and there is a retirement plan. Employee owned company. Company is stable and been in business over 100 years.

Cons

Work load is always way above what can be done in 8 hours. Company is slow to add staff to meet the work load

It was a job

Pros

Consistent hours. Was sent on training trips. Vendor sales reps always stopping by bringing samples from their latest products, and sometimes food as well. Lots of online training courses allows you to learn about the basics of the industry.

Cons

Very reliant on the economy. If no new buildings are going up, business is slow and they are quick to lay off.

Pros

Supervisors seem to care, but they stabbed you in the back when it came time to down-size size (again) company-wide

Cons

No reviews, yet you are the first to go because "you are not a team-player" Office is a constant buzz of employees 'hollering" questions to supervisor, without even leaving their cubicles.
