Baby stylists RUN AWAY

Pros

The debit card they give you that your tips go on is pretty cool. Pay isn’t bad either

Cons

Great Clips is the worst place I think I’ve ever worked in my life. They will prey on younger stylists by promising education and growth opportunities but will not give it to you. They literally just hire you and throw you to the dogs. Their training is a joke. The only upside to my time at GC was my coworkers but corporate truly does not care about you

Because each salon is independently owned and operated, your franchisee would be the best person to address your concerns. Please contact them directly regarding any issues with employment.

Pros

The manager is amazing which is why most people stay. The customers are great

Cons

Extremely low pay $17. You go to school and get a state license to be valued at basically minimum wage. On average you could work 20 to 40 hours a week with not a lot of consistency. They can’t retain employees because of the low pay. You are expected to do 13 min haircuts which means your tips are low. I highly recommend you don’t work here

Pros

Money same day you start working from tips tons of locations nationwide earn commission in product sales

Cons

Not great for full time employment max hours you normally can work is 35 hours a week just under 40 hours so they don’t have to offer benefits. Long hours on feet. Can be a dead end job. Franchise owned so not always opportunity for a raise pay is maybe $1 or $2 over minimum wage. Schedule is not consistent some says you open some days you close and it closes late typically 9pm open 7 days a week.
